A room built for the music.

Mr. Beans is a studio and bar in the centre of Porto that opens its doors to the public on weekends. Jam sessions, DJs, a resident band and a bar — that's mostly what happens here.

For the past five years, we've kept the jam going every week, and for the last two, twice a week. Doing it again and again has shaped the place naturally. The resident band grew around it, the instruments got better, the sound got better, and so did the room.

There was never much of a master plan beyond keeping it going and making it a little better each time. What exists today comes mostly from that consistency and a commitment to the music.
